Halloween Celebration in Guilford Center

Past event
Oct 31, 2021, 5 PM

Witches, monsters, fairy tale creatures and any others are invited to Trick or Treat the six homes and Guilford Free Library in Guilford Center Village on Sunday, October 31, from 5-6 PM.

At 6 PM Laura Lawson and Bob Tucker will lead a parade from in front of the Guilford Free Library to the Playscape. Once at the Playscape, Laura will lead stories and fingerplays, all geared for the younger set (babies, toddlers, pre-schoolers and grades 1-3).

Springs Farm will host a lawn movie night with Hocus Pocus. Bring your blankets and chairs, but if it is below 40 degrees we'll have to cancel the film. Older children will enjoy this part of the evening most (if it's not too cold).

A port-a-potty will be available at Springs Farm and at the library.

All paths, on Center Road, to the Playscape, and to the Springs Farm will be lit. Parking is limited. No parking in Guilford Center. Parking along Guilford Center Road up to Carpenter Hill Road, or beyond the last house in the village. Parking on Carpenter Hill Road only beyond the Playscape.

Call the library at: 802-257-4603 if you'd like to volunteer to help with: carving pumpkins, candelaria, traffic control, technical assistance, spooking children, parking, or anything else we'll need help with to make this a truly fun, community event.
