Burlington Choral Society Sings Jamison, Bach & Runestad

Hello Neighbors,

I'm excited to tell you that the Burlington Choral Society is rehearsing for our fall concert! We'll perform on Saturday, November 20, 7:30 p.m., at the Elley-Long Music Center at St. Michael's College.

I invite you to come hear live choral music again, as we present the world premiere of "There Is a Day," commissioned from Vermont composer Don Jamison. Don set seven poems by Wendell Berry to music that will take us from the contemplation of a noisy road to a quest for nature's quiet.

Our artistic director, Dick Riley, took inspiration from "There Is a Day" in planning the rest of our program: He will lead us in J.S. Bach's cantata "Nun komm, der Heiden Heiland" as well as two works by the acclaimed young composer Jake Runestad. One is "The Hope of Loving"; the other is "Let My Love Be Heard."

Tickets are available now at www.SevenDaysTickets.com

There is absolutely nothing like singing live for an audience – and being in the audience. I hope you'll be with us for some beautiful music.

All good wishes,
Andrew
