Hello my name is Jackie Burgess. I would like to introduce myself as the new REACH afterschool program coordinator for Wolcott. I have lots of exciting ideas that I am eager to try out. One of my goals this year is to bring our athletes back to Wolcott. To do this I am planning is to start soccer sign ups August 14th and continue them through the first week of school. Soccer practices will tentatively start August 28th and will go until October 12th. The schedules for each grade are as follows: kindergarten through second grade Tuesdays at 5, 3rd and 4th graders Mondays and Wednesdays at 3:40, and 5th and 6th graders Mondays and Thursdays at 5. It is my hope to get a scrimmage or 2 for grades 1 and 2 by the end of the season, and to have the other 2 teams participate in at least one weekend tournament. Most games will be held during scheduled practice times. The cost is $15 for k through 2 and $30 for grades 3 through 6. Soccer fees are in addition to the regular REACH fee. Sign ups will be held Monday August 14th from 11-6, Tuesday August 15th and Wednesday August 16 11-4 and Thursday August 17th 11-3. Additionally registration forms will be available at the library.
