Storykeepers

Past event
Nov 3, 2015, 10 to 11:30 AM

Natalie Kinsey (Warnock) will be offering her Storykeepers History intensive to homeschoolers from November 3rd until December 8th. The group will meet at the Greensboro Free Library every Tuesday from 10am -11:30am and do a presentation for the community at some point afterwards.

The workshops will entail web research, photography dating, family heirlooms, a trip to the historical society, making a family tree, and more. After learning these and other research skills, the children will choose someone from their family to research using at least 2 of the forms of research taught and will present their findings through a presentation of their choice. Your child being able to read and write will be helpful in this process.
Natalie is a wonderful, warm, vibrant teacher and is sure to inspire your children on this journey through family history. This will also be a great moment to connect what was happening in the world to the time period of different family members lives if you so choose.
This is a free 6 week workshop funded by a generous grant from the Pleasants Fund in Greensboro.
