The Chelsea Farmers Market kicks off their 2014 season on May 16th from 3-6pm on the North Common in Chelsea.
From 3:30-5:30 listen to live music by Neil J. FitzGerald, who has been performing with his acoustic guitars for over thirty years.
FitzGerald enjoys performing his original compositions as well as a diverse array of jazz, folk and fingerstyle classics. He has performed on both sides of the border, including participation at the Canadian National Fingerstyle Guitar competition in Kingston, Ontario. His instrumental composition, Kaleidoscope, was featured on a North Country Public Radio CD compilation in 2009. FitzGerald has recorded his own music as well as many others under the Red Horizon label, with a new personal project due out in the near future. FitzGerald is a new resident of Tunbridge and looks forward to performing in the area.
At 4pm join in for a “Cupcake Walk” – Chelsea Farmers Market’s version of a cake walk. Similar to musical chairs, participants walk in a circle in time to music. When the music stops the person standing on the winning tile will receive cupcakes.
Vendors will offer local vegetable starts, fresh bread, meats, eggs, prepared foods, fine crafts and so much more.
