Coming to the Highland Center for the Arts June 8 - July 21:
Hallowed Ground pays tribute to the devotion of the faithful and its continuity from the Neolithic Erin to contemporary Ireland with a series of paintings, pastels, photographs, sculpture, and accompanying Irish poetry.
Artist Gaal Shepherd has spent 34 years exploring the nooks and crannies of the island searching for sacred prehistoric sites, which has taken her to some of the most remote and desolate places in Ireland.
The opening reception for this exhibit is June 14 at 5:00 pm.
The gallery is open Wednesday through Saturday from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm, and Sunday from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm.
