October 14th Public Meeting on Draft Lamoille Tactical Basin Plan

The Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation (VT DEC) is seeking your input, as Lamoille Basin Planner, Danielle Owczarski, is working with watershed partners to update the 5-year Lamoille Tactical Basin Plan. The plan outlines protection strategies for the 706 sq mile Lamoille watershed that spans 34 towns and 5 counties. Protecting water quality, reducing erosion, and implementing stormwater mitigation projects are a few of the plan's priorities. These were identified from a public survey conducted in January 2021. The Tactical Basin Plan is instrumental in guiding watershed health in the Lamoille River Basin.

A public meeting on the draft plan will occur on Thursday, October 14th, from 6 PM - 7:45 PM. To attend the meeting in person, head to the Green Mountain Technology & Career Center, 738 VT-15, Hyde Park, VT. Please note masks are required for in-person attendance.
