Want to get out of the house and have fun on a Friday night? Why not try out a new skill while you're at it. Every month, River Arts hosts a Sip N' Slurry class (paint and sip for clay) and this Solstice season, we're celebrating with a mug making/ luminaries workshop.

The short days leading up to the winter solstice can often feel a bit cold and dark, so join us for a warm and fun evening of clay creations! Our clay alternative to paint and sip classes is a familiar favorite for potters new and old. Join Instructors Barbara Flathers and Lisa Wolfgang on this dark day to make a mug for a friend or a luminary to bring some light. Learn basic hand-building techniques like slab rolling, coil building and surface techniques.
