CHARGES AND PREPARATION:
$23.00/cubic yard for tubing with fittings and droplines attached, coiled, and taped.
$7.00/cubic yard for tubing WITHOUT fittings, coiled with little or no tape.
$7.00/cubic yard for mainline with no fittings, wire, or clamps. CUT into 3-foot pieces.
10 cents per pound for spouts. Bring in pails to be dumped.
SUGGESTIONS FOR PREPARATION:
Try to remove the fittings as you pick up the tubing in the woods. That makes it easier to coil the tubing into small rolls of approximately 18 inches. Wind the line around itself to hold it together so very little or no tape is needed to secure the roll. The small rolls of line are more easily handled and can be stored in large boxes or in a pile. Except for the poly spouts, the fittings should go in the trash. (Work is being done to find a place to recycle fittings in the future.) If removing the fittings is not practical for your operation, you can still coil the tubing around itself to make small rolls. The polycarbonate spouts can be collected in pails or boxes. The small piece of tubing left on the spout is acceptable, but please cut the tubing as close as you can to the spout.
Please try to bring in relatively clean sap line and spouts. Some dirt is unavoidable but leaves and debris cause too much contamination.
Pieces of mainline can be mixed in with the tubing. You will be charged the lower rate of $7 per yard if the tubing fittings are removed.
PLEASE PRE-REGISTER with estimated volume in cubic yards by OCTOBER 15.
An 8-foot bed pickup truck holds approximately 1.5 to 2 yards.
