As the legislature wrapped up the 2014 session, there are new regulations regarding the protection and preservation of Lake Champlain’s shores and its waters, for towns as well as for property owners. Grand Isle’s legislative delegation will be holding a meeting on Tuesday, May 20, at 7 p.m. at the Ed Weed Fish Hatchery to give an update on the session. Staff from the Vermont Agency of Natural Resources will be there to explain the regulations and what they will mean to property owners along the Lake. The meeting is co-sponsored by the Lake Champlain Islands Economic Development Corporation and the Grand Isle Natural Resources Conservation District. Call 372-8400 with questions.
