The Reading Energy Board, in collaboration with COVER Home Repair and the Mount Ascutney Regional Commission, is excited to announce that they will be hosting a live weatherization demonstration project right here in Reading on October 16th, and you are invited!
Please come join in on the fun, and learn how to make your home warmer and cheaper to heat this winter!
The experts at COVER will demonstrate how to measure how leaky a house is, and ways to easily find and seal up those leaks. They will also answer any questions about your own project AND help you apply for their free DIY kits or free in-home weatherization services. COVER's experience is that the average weatherization project can save homeowners 100 gallons of fuel each year, which at today's prices is about $250 savings per year.
The event will be at 192 Flat Iron Road, Reading, and will kick off with a blower door test at 9 AM. The demonstration work will continue through about 12 PM, followed by a final blower door test to assess the impact of the work done.
Due to space constraints, attendance will be limited to 10 residents. Per current VT Covid safety guidelines, masks will be required when indoors.
Free coffee and donuts will be available.
This will be an informative, fun, and money-saving event. Come check it out!
