Beaver Rescue

You're invited to a virtual presentation on October 7 at 1:30 where you can learn about the rescue of a one-month old beaver kit and the stream-based rehab structure that has become its home until it's released to the wild. In May of 2020 a baby beaver kit (named BK) was found wandering down a rail trail. A local farmer had bulldozed the beaver family's dam and lodge, and BK was on his own. Wildlife Rehabber John Aberth took on building a 'beaver lodge' in a stream and BK lived there joined by another orphaned female kit. Lots of challenges and joyful times ensued.
