Discovery walks in the Bliss Pond Town Forest

The Calais Conservation Commission and the Calais Trails Committee are co-sponsoring discovery walks in the Bliss Pond Town Forest on Sunday, October 3, 2021, at 9:30 a.m.

A new system of trail markers and a map have been created and will be introduced that morning. The experience that some of you may have had in the past of getting lost on the town forest trails will be, we hope, a thing of the past. The new trail system map will be available at the beginning of the event. Folks can either join one of the guided walks on various routes in the system or, if you prefer, strike out for an adventure on your own, map in hand.

Please meet at the Old West Church by 9:30 a.m. Parking will be along the edge of the wooded area on the south side of the church grounds.
