All good things must come to an end, and so does the gardening season and our second successful year of "Extra Row." To go out on a festive note, we're offering free cider, homemade baked goods and Woodbury's Local Donuts which you can enjoy while listening to Goddard and Suzi Graves play stringed instruments and sing their old-time songs.
If your garden is still bountiful, please come to the General Store on Saturday between 9 – 11, share your extra produce with our neighbors and/or take home some freshly harvested greens, veggies and herbs. Everyone is welcome!
Here are the details: Bring your washed and trimmed garden produce between 9 – 11 (the earlier the better). We'll have a couple coolers but if you can put it in cardboard boxes or plastic bags, that'd be fine. The goal is to have all donations given away by 11 so that nothing ends up going in the compost pile.
If you would like to bake treats to contribute, please make and wrap individual servings to help everyone stay healthy.
"Extra Row," hosted by the East Calais Community Trust, is an informal weekly sharing of our gardens' bounty with our neighbors.
If you are unable to bring your extra produce but want to contribute, please ask a neighbor or friend to deliver it to the store.
