It's now more important than ever to offer your products and services to customers online. Whether you have an existing website or no online presence at all, we'll show you how. Are you ready?
LEDC is offering a 3-hour workshop Wednesday, October 20th, from 9 a.m. to noon focused on selling online. The workshop will be held at Green Mountain Technical and Career Center in Hyde Park. It will help you take your business sales and leads to the next level. If you've thought about adding online sales to your existing website or want to start from scratch, this workshop will provide you with clear steps to complete those tasks.
While there are numerous options available to online retailers, this workshop will focus on using WordPress and WooCommerce to create an online store that is flexible, powerful and economical. WooCommerce is adaptable to any business. You can sell physical products, digital products, subscriptions, appointments and much more.
We will explore the following topics:
• Presentation of your products and service (photography and copywriting).
• Organizing your offerings and all the possible variations and groups of each product and service.
• How to handle your inventory or availability.
• Do you need to charge sales tax?
• How will your physical goods be shipped and how do you calculate shipping costs?
• How do the payments get processed?
• Creating customer accounts with their order information.
• Understanding the automated email process when orders are placed and how you can service your customers with your own unique voice.
Most importantly, there will be plenty of time for Q&A, which is why our in-person, workshop format is so popular.
The workshop fee is $50 and refreshments will be provided.
