Vermont actors Kathryn Blume, Sarah Mell, and Julia Sioss reenact the determination of suffragists from Susan B. Anthony to Ida B. Wells while addressing the complexities of race and gender in the movement. Full of facts, fun, and historical figures, the play asks audiences to consider the stories we hear and, more importantly, those we don't, when we teach and learn about the history of social movements.

Commissioned by the Vermont Suffrage Centennial Alliance, The Suffragist Reenactment Society is written by Mary Beth McNulty and directed by Laura Roald.
Following the performance, Mariah Riggs, director of Main Street Landing Performing Art Center, will moderate a panel discussion featuring Jen Berger (artist/educator and creator of At the Root and adjunct faculty at Champlain College and Community College of Vermont), Kathryn Dungy (History Department chair, St. Michael's College), Selene Colburn (State House of Representatives and faculty, UVM Theatre and Dance Department), and Mary Beth McNulty (playwright).
