Genealogy and Slavery Discussion Group Sept. 30

Past event
Sep 30, 2021, 6 to 8 PM

Are you researching your family history and wondering about how your ancestors were affected by or involved in the institution of slavery? We are a discussion group of people researching ancestors who were enslaved or were slave-holders/enslavers. At our monthly meetings, we share research experiences and discuss the challenges that come from uncovering difficult, long-hidden truths. Each meeting includes an education section and a discussion about how our research connects to and supports the struggle for racial justice. The next monthly meeting is Thursday, September 30 from 6-8 pm via Zoom. If you are interested, contact doriew@radicalrootsgenealogy.org for more information.
