Ferrisburgh Historical Society
Date: Wednesday, May 14
Program; VUHS History Students
Place: Ferrisburgh Historical Society, RT 7
Time: 6:30 (NOTE EARLIER TIME)

Program: History students from VUHS. When discussing their history odyssey to Philadelphia, Gettysburg and Washington D.C., the teens from VUHS could not decide what was the most impressive. Some felt seeing the Declaration of Independence stirred their blood. Others felt meeting and spending the evening with General George Washington and learning to be a recruit in the Revolutionary Army stood out. Others found the haunting silence of Arlington National Cemetery and the Changing of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown seared into memory. Still others fixated on Mount Vernon and seeing General Washington as a man and not a legend. Undaunted a few more remembered solving crimes with the CSI's at the Crime and Punishment Museum in Washington and running up stairs at the Smithsonian to see Dorothy's Ruby Slippers. No matter the memory, the trip was one of discovery and joy. Come and see what it was all about as the teachers and students share their trip with the Ferrisburgh Historical Society on May 14th at 6:30 p.m. at the FHS building. Photos, facts, fun and ah-ha moments for all!

Free and open to public.
