Posting early here (for a meeting that's two weeks hence) to give everyone ample notice of topics of broad public interest on the agenda:
Up for discussion at the October 7 Planning Commission meeting is a public hearing on a proposed major subdivision project at 125 Lake Rd. This project would add 8 residential lots to the middle of an existing 124 acre farm & forest parcel, at the corner of Greenbush Rd. & Lake Rd. An initial Sketch Plan review of this project one year ago drew considerable public interest and participation.
Applicants Patricia O'Donnell and Jim Donovan have now returned with a modified plan, and a preliminary application for subdivision approval. This is the second phase of the Planning Commission's review. Following closure of this public hearing, if the Planning Commission approves these plans (with or without conditions), applicants would re-apply for Final Plan approval, which will require another hearing. Updated plans and application materials have been posted to the project page on the town website, viewable from this link: https://is.gd/125_Lake_Rd_subdivision.
Commission members will also be continuing their discussion of these topics:
* updated Rules of Procedure for the Planning Commission
* feedback to the Selectboard on a proposed transition to a Development Review Board model for town permitting
* draft amendments to the Land Use Regulations (technical updates & corrections)
The public is invited & welcome to join the conversation. Meetings are held in Town Hall and also available via Zoom. The agenda, with Zoom logins, has been posted to the town website under the meeting date, on the 'Meeting Calendars and Agendas' page.
