We have three amazingly beautiful rivers in our area: The White, the Ottauquechee, and the Connecticut. Whitewater Kayaking is a fun way to enjoy them.
If any one is interested in learning to whitewater kayak or canoe my paddling club—the Vermont Paddlers Club—is holding it’s annual Novice Clinic on June 7-8, 9-4 each day. It’s $85.00 for two days of instruction and lunch is provided.
This is a great deal. I participated in a different clinic with them and it really helped me take my enjoyment of the river to a new level. The instructors are all very experienced paddlers.
