8th Annual Champlain Islands CROP Hunger Walk

Another year of unprecedented global disasters has strained all systems of caregiving worldwide. By supporting the Champlain Islands CROP Walk, we can respond to hunger and other human needs throughout the United States and the world. Walkers will gather at 1 p.m., Sunday October 17 at The Congregational Church of South Hero, 24 South Street, South Hero.

Here's how you can participate:

Give.
- On line: https://events.crophungerwalk.org/2021/event/southherovt
- Check: CWS/CROP, dropped off or mailed to church office (CCSH, 24 South St., South Hero, VT 05486).

Walk. Gather at the Congregational Church of South Hero at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 17 for the half mile (1 mile round trip) walk. Pre-registration required and can be done at the above online address. All Walkers must complete the COVID waiver form - available at the Walk along with masks, which are required.

Three guests will join us for this year's Walk:
• Diane Irish, Islands Yoga instructor, generously has agreed to lead us once again in warming up and centering for the Walk.
• Joe Pobieglo of Essex will return to send us off, from a COVID safe distance, with his Scottish bagpipes.
• Robin Way, Executive Director of C.I.D.E.R. will lead the Walkers to the site of the new senior housing in South Hero to show everyone what is happening.
