We're headed back to the Putnam Trail at Tucker Mountain on Monday, September 27 from 1-3 pm.  We've hiked the beginning of the trail and challenged ourselves with the tree identification contest set up along the way.  When we found a good spot for resting and reading, we began "My Side of the Mountain" by Jean Craighead George.  What a perfect story to match our hike!

So join us next Monday if you can.  We'll catch you up on the story.  To get to the trail, take Snake Road (from Route 5 in Newbury) to West Newbury hamlet and continue straight onto Tucker Mountain Road.  Keep going til you see the parking area & Tucker Mountain kiosk on your right.  Meet you there!  Bring water, snack, & blanket or sitting pad.
