There will be a Merger Study Committee Meeting on Tues. Sept 21 at the Mt Abe large cafeteria from 6:30-8:30. Public comments can be made at the end of the meeting and before any decisions are made. It is possible to attend with Zoom. Watch for the posting of the new agenda to get the link. Search MAUSD Merger Committee. Minutes from past meetings are also posted.

There is concern that the merger option is moving too fast to give community proposals a fair hearing. Our select board has written a letter requesting that the timeline be adjusted, and that all towns should be able to vote on whether or not to withdraw if a merger is recommended and to vote on whether or not the town school should be closed (which includes repurposing).

The committee needs to know our community cares about our school. Please attend the meeting and speak up!
