Some key events:
* Thursday, May 22 (9am-2pm): Community Tours of Fletcher Elementary School
We will be offering tours of the Fletcher Elementary School on Thursday, May 22nd every half hour from 9:00 - 2:00. We would like to give the residents of Fletcher an opportunity to see our school and our learning space needs. Although we have become very creative in using every square footage of space for instruction, we are still limited in how we present learning opportunities for our students. Next fall our library will become a classroom and we will move the library materials into a small room that can only accommodate 12 students. Students who receive individualized instruction or small group instruction are often receiving it in our hallway because of a lack of space. Currently, our guidance counselor provides services in a closet off of the library.
So, if you haven't been in FES in awhile, please stop by and we will be happy to show you around our school.

* Tuesday, May 27 (10am-7pm): Fletcher Elementary School Bond Vote
Come vote yes or no.
Will the voters of Fletcher approve a $1.7 million bond to alleviate the school's ongoing issues with not having enough space to meet the needs of current and future student populations by building an addition that will add four large classrooms to the facility and include renovations to the existing facility that will meet the needs of our town for years to come?

And remember, the vote is by Australian ballot, so you can cast your ballot any time during voting hours and can do so by absentee as well (just pick up a ballot at the Town Office).
