Fall is a beautiful time of year and we mark the Autumnal Equinox with a special Native American ritual brought to us by River Buffum at the Waterbury Public Library. On Wednesday, September 22nd at 5:30 PM join River in the Library's Word Garden for a special guided ritual. According to Native American culture, we are always at the center of the Medicine Wheel. We will walk the four directions of the Medicine Wheel and pay tribute to the direction of the West, home of the Autumnal Equinox. On the day of the Equinox the amount of light is equal to dark, giving us the gift of balance. As we walk the wheel, receive the gifts of each direction with a guided meditation from River. You will be invited to go inward as we welcome this yin season. Judi Byron will accompany the meditation on harp.
In case of rain, the meditation will be postponed to Friday, September 24th at 5:30 PM.
