I'm posting this volunteer opportunity on behalf of a friend who is putting out the word for some volunteer help for a great nonprofit in Burlington. If you have questions please reach out to the folks mentioned below!

My friend volunteers for a worthy local non-profit that holds an annual bicycle and sewing machine collection in Burlington. The non-profit, Pedals for Progress, sends the bicycles overseas to developing countries to make them available to communities as affordable transportation. The sewing, also sent overseas, machines are used for income generation. The collection this year is on Saturday, Sept. 25, 8:30 am - 1 pm at the Burton Store, 266 Queen City Park Rd, Burlington. They ask for a $15 donation (which is entirely tax deductible) to offset shipping. They also need volunteers at the Collection. Great community services hours for any students you may know.
