Join fellow Bennington Democrats at our upcoming Reorganization Caucus happening Monday, September 20 from 6-8PM via Zoom. Link is https://us02web.zoom.us/j/5287894661
Why is reorganization important?
In accordance with Vermont State Law, this year's Party Reorg is when elections of Executive Committee Officers occur. Bennington Executive Committee Officers include Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary and Treasurer. If you would like to be a candidate for one of these positions, please show up to our meeting this Monday September 20, 6-8 pm via zoom https://us02web.zoom.us/j/5287894661.
We will also be electing Delegates to the County Committee. Since Bennington has 22 delegates, selection of these positions will be done by sign-up sheet at the meeting.
Who can participate?
In order to vote at the meeting, you must be a registered Bennington voter. Also, pursuant to 17 V.S.A. §2317, a "voter shall not vote in a town, county, or State caucus of more than one party in the same 12 month period, nor shall any voter simultaneously hold membership on the committees of more than one political party."
In Solidarity,
Mia Schultz
Bennington Town Democrats Chair
PS: The meeting will also be an opportunity to do that deeper dive into last year's Vermont Democratic Party Platorms that we have discussed consistently throughout this year. Mondays discussion will include an inter-generational discussion on the party's commitment towards Justice and Community Safety. We are honored to have this discussion with Tordis IIg Isselhardt and Addie Lentzner.
