Volunteer Service work morning to remove invasive plant species at the Catamount Community Forest. Saturday September 18 from 9 - 11 am.
Learn how to identify and remove invasive buckthorn, honeysuckle and Japanese barberry at the Catamount Community Forest. No experience necessary. Bring your own gloves, loppers or saw, water and bug spray. It is best to wear long-sleeved shirts and pants as well as sturdy shoes and socks.
We will be cutting stems and applying glyphosate to the cut stump using bingo daubers. Trail users and wildlife will thank you!
Meet at the information kiosk by the parking lot on Governor Chittenden Road. Rain or shine. Dogs are not permitted at the town forest.
