Jericho Farmers Market This Week!

The days are getting shorter, some leaves are starting to change, AND Jericho Farmers’ Market is still chugging right along! This Thursday is looking to be pristine Vermont weather (mid-70’s and sunny) so be sure to take advantage of the amazing summer-y weather while it is still around. And what better way to take advantage of it than by spending an evening at the market.

Don’t forget your picnic blanket, so you can hang out at the market and enjoy music from this week's band! Front Porch Foursome is an all women band, hailing from Underhill, that plays contemporary folk music, ranging from Brandi Carlile to Bob Dylan and Wailin Jennys. They blend their voices to create beautiful harmonies and are supported by instrumentation including mandolin, guitar, upright bass, and percussion. Band members include Char Reed, Nancy Geise, Brit Bigelow, and Kathy Mulligan.

Did you receive PEBT funding this year? Did you know you can leverage that money to help our community?

When you spend your PEBT or EBT funds at the Farmers Market it helps our community twice! Roughly 60% of every dollar you spend with a local producer stays local vs only 30% every dollar spent with major retailers! So, spending your PEBT or EBT locally not only helps your household, but also helps the entire community!

In addition, anyone who uses their EBT card at the Farmers Market through the end of the season will get an additional $20 in $1 tokens along with their $10 Crop Cash! This means that $10 EBT= $40 groceries. Please spread the word!
