Hi!

The Charlotte Bridge is a journalism newsletter written by Chea Waters Evans that reports on our town government and news. Launched earlier this year, more than 1,000 people in Charlotte already subscribe! You can sign up here if you don't already receive it.

I'm one of the five volunteer founders, and in addition to deeply-reported journalism on town delivered weekly to your inbox, we're hosting informal conversations about journalism, news, democracy and our wonderful community throughout the year.

Tonight - Tuesday, Sept 14th at 7pm - pour yourself a nice, tall glass of something, and join us and the Charlotte Library on Zoom for a town conversation on journalism today, ranging from the NYT to Front Porch Forum.

On the call will be myself and Charlotte Bridge co-founders Adam Davidson and Jesse Wegman, both long standing journalists who covered the Trump administration for national news outlets.

We're curious what you think of journalism today, and encourage attendees to share their own opinions over our hour-long chat.

This is hosted by our terrific Charlotte Library, and click here to get the zoom link:

In the meantime, subscribe to the free Charlotte Bridge newsletter to keep up with what's happening in town:
