Alisa Amador Concert

Past event
Sep 19, 2021, 4 to 6 PM

Valley Stage Productions is reconvening our "P.M. Sundays" concert series on Sept. 19 at Richmond Congregational Church with the first of 8 concerts beginning with Alisa Amador and her trio. (https://www.valleystage.net/alisa-amador-9-19-21/).

Alisa's music is a synthesis of the many styles she's voraciously absorbed: rock, jazz, funk and alternative folk, all wrapped in the spirit of the Latin music she grew up with. Vance Gilbert describes her sound as, "Shawn Colvin meets Joni Mitchell has lunch with Amy Winehouse meets Suzanne Vega and Diana Krall." NPR refers to her performance as, "a pitch-perfect rendition of my wildest dreams," her soulful singing, poetically incisive lyrics, and syncopated rhythms, are likely to make you cry, laugh and dance all within one set.

Doors open at 3:30 and the concert begins at 4:00 p.m. A Covid Protocol of masks being worn and proof of vaccination being shown by all who attend will be in place. We will be limiting our ticket sales to 85 people even though the capacity of the church is 175. We will also serve refreshments outside, under cover as long as the weather allows.

The concert is also available on a streaming platform for those unable to or choosing not to attend in person. It will be archived for 48 hours after the live concert and can be watched either when the concert actually happens or anytime within the 2 days following.:
