Here is another opportunity to learn more about electric vehicles by talking directly with owners and taking a ride. There are many myths about electric vehicles. Get your questions answered by those with experience so you are better prepared to make your choice of fossil fuel or electric for your next vehicle purchase. Personally, I am very satisfied with my 2017 Bolt.
Greetings from GMP!
Thank you for driving electric! Transportation is the top source of carbon pollution in Vermont, so by driving an electric vehicle you are making a big difference, cutting carbon and costs!
We are reaching out to invite you to join us in celebrating electric vehicles at our EVenture Ride and Drive event Saturday, September 18 in Danville! It is the latest in a series of ride-n-drive events we're having this summer and fall.
GMP employees and customers are getting together for a parade and test drive in partnership with the Danville Energy Committee, and the Northeastern Vermont Development Association – to share info about their own EV driving experiences with curious Vermonters. As someone who recently switched to clean electric driving, you have great insights to share!
What: GMP EVenture Ride-n-Drive
When: September 18, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (parade starts 9:45 a.m.)
Where: Marty's 1st Stop, 421 Route 2 East, Danville
Customers who want to bring their EV to the parade and event can RSVP and sign up here: GMP EVenture Sign Up Form. The parade will start at 9:45 a.m. at Marty's 1st Stop in Danville, head into town, circle the Town Green, and return to Marty's where the EVs will be set up for people to check out.
Drivers and customers who attend will be entered into a drawing to win a free electric yard trimmer. Drivers will also get a $20 gift card for Marty's!
At each of our community EVenture Ride-n-Drive events, GMP will donate to a local charity to support the community, and this event will support the Danville Train Station restoration project, which will revitalize the historic building as an alternate transportation and recreation hub as part of the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail. GMP plans to visit more communities across the state through the fall.
