Hey kids - Want to be a Dragon Egg Hunter? Here's the story: Once Upon a Time there was a Fairy Tale Festival. There was a Dragon. Now there is a Dragon Egg. Where? At the Pope Memorial Library and it's up to you to find it. Want to hunt for a dragon egg?
On Saturday, September 18th at 10:00 am, the hunt begins. Children will be given clues that lead to the egg. The first dragon egg hunter to find it, keeps it. The hunter will also win a Folkmanis Dragon puppet. Come join the fun. There will be other games and activities happening until noon. There are additional prizes for five other hunters. This event is most appropriate for preschool-age children through early elementary.
The Great Vermont Dragon Egg Hunt was conceived by Jane Ramos, Director of the Sherburne Library in Killington, the site of the yearly Fairy Tale Festival. The festival has been postponed because of Covid so she dreamed up this event and 103 Vermont libraries signed up to participate. Pope Memorial Library is happy to be part of this event and we hope you will be happy to join in the fun.
Okay Hunters - Get Ready. The hunt begins at 10:00 am Saturday, September 18th.
