Hi all! I wanted to invite you to a pop up art show happening this Sunday, September 12th, 4-sunset at Leddy Park featuring the artists of Homebase!

For the last three years and throughout the pandemic, I have had the joy and honor of getting to be a part of Homebase, a community based in the ONE that supports adults with disabilities. This year, we held Zoom art class three times a week. The classes began with checking in on how everyone was doing, and then drawing an image via screen share for about 45 minutes.Towards the end of class, we held up our work to share with one another, getting to see the unique ways each artist interpreted the image. We would comment on the strengths of the pieces and encourage one another. Some of these artists have been making work for years, others just started during the pandemic!

I'm putting together a show of these works on paper, as well as paintings. I'd love to have you there! I'd love for these artists to have their work validated by the larger community, and continue to expand upon the encouragement for making that we built in our zoom classes together. Some works will be for sale, $10-$75, cash or check.
