October 23, 2021 10:00 am - 6:00 PM
Is your son or daughter interested in being outdoors, building lifelong values, and growing into a capable leader, and citizen? How about having another way for your family to connect? If so, please join us for an open house (drop-in anytime or stay for the day) to see what Scouts BSA is all about. We will be demonstrating our Scout skills, building a rope bridge, and some other items during the day. There will be a campfire at the end of the day.
This is an outdoor event in a field so please dress for the weather and have proper footwear.

SCOUT TROOPS: Whether led by boys or girls, Scouts run the show! Troops are single-gender, and the young men and women in them are responsible for the activities of the troop. Adults train youth members to assume leadership roles, and with those skills, the Scouts plan the program and carry it out. By planning and organizing activities, they develop teamwork and learn to lead as well as follow.
RANK ADVANCEMENT: Scouts BSA provides a series of challenging but achievable obstacles and the steps to overcome them through the rank advancement method. Each Scout plans their advancement and progresses at their own pace as they meet each challenge.
ADVENTURE: Scouts BSA is an introduction to the great outdoors for boys and girls ages 11 through 17 and, most important, a lesson about their place in it.
LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT: Scouting builds leaders. Former Scouts serve on the boards of global corporations, walk the halls of the White House, and have been known to go hiking on the moon occasionally. Life lessons learned in Scouting will help all of its members make good decisions throughout life.
SERVICE: The Scout slogan is Do a Good Turn Daily. That means doing something to help others each day without expecting anything in return. It implies that Scouts do their part in caring for the community and the environment.
PERSONAL GROWTH: As Scouts plan activities and progress toward goals, they experience personal growth. Young men and women grow by participating in community service projects and by doing a Good Turn daily.
