Final Plant Sale!

Past event
May 9 to 10, 2014

Hi Friends and Neighbors-

We'll be doing our final plant sale this FRIDAY and SATURDAY, May 9-10, with pick up in downtown Jeffersonville.

For those who would like to get out and see the farm and some of these trees in their larger state, we'll be doing a tour of some various fruit and nut trees at the farm in Johnson at 4:30 on Saturday afternoon. Please email or visit the sale for parking and rendezvous directions.

Again, please pre-order if you want to reserve something, as we have limited quantities of most things (the large fruit trees in particular). Otherwise, you're welcome to come by and shop what hasn't already been sold.

For this weekend, we'll have:

Pixwell Gooseberry: A beautiful Gooseberry bred to have less thorns and sweet fruit. Fruit is ripe when color changes from spring green to blush pink. Attractive to butterflies and bees, carefree plant. Cold hardy. Ripens in July. Self-pollinating. $15 bare root.

Concord Grapes- The classic hardy blue grape known for its vigor and disease resistance, and delicious fresh grapes, juices, wine, jams, and preserves. $10/ bare root.

Siberian Pea Shrub- A pea on a tree! This beautiful yellow pea-flowered plant fixes nitrogen in the soil, and supports bumble bees and other pollinators with its delicious edible (for people!) flowers. Often grown as a chicken food, they make a nice ornamental hedge, and the small peas aren't bed, especially if soaked or sprouted.

Hybrid Hazelnuts! One of our favorites for a future crop in VT, now well into production here at Willow Crossing, these multi-stemmed trees will begin to bear nuts in as little as 3 years from planting. They also make nice hedges, living fences, privacy screens, or snow fence. $15/ tree.

Also:
Hardy Pecans
Shagbark Hickories
Sliver Maples
Sugar Maples
Peaches
Apples
Saskatoons (juneberries)
Chesnuts
Kiwis
Sea Berrys
Globe Artichokes
Aronia
Honey Berry (Haskap)
Strawberries
Asparagus Crowns
and much more.

Please email, or visit www.ProspectRock.org for details.
Thanks for your support of our work and sharing with potentially interested friends!

Best,
Keith and Family
