Class is offered to those 55 years of age or older.

Prequalification to take this class is that you have completed the Tai Chi for Fall's Prevention series 1,2, & 3 or have permission from an instructor.

This class is based on Dr Paul Lam's "Tai Chi for Arthritis", an evidence-based program. It consists of gentle, slow continuous movements. It is shown to make an impact on your daily life by improving flexibility, reducing stiffness and keeping joints mobile. It can improve sleep, concentration, memory, balance, strength, blood pressure and energy levels. Tai Chi is also a mind/body exercise, which improves serenity and relaxation of the mind, thus reducing pain and stress. Studies show that participation in tai chi can reduce recurrent falls by 70%.

Co-taught by a pair of kind, encouraging, certified instructors. Our goal for you is not only to learn this beautiful ancient form, but to have fun and meet new people while you are in class. This class is sponsored by Age Well (Area Agency on Aging), it is offered Free of charge. If you would like more information, or to sign up, please contact the instructors, Doreen Peterson: doreenvermont@gmail.com, or Beverly Blakeney: beverlyblakeney@gmail.com
