In a dream world I would be inviting you to a pre-contradance potluck by the river before we went off to the fundraiser dance on Saturday. Sadly, we are still in pandemic land. Happily, there's still a party on Saturday and you're invited! There's a livestream on Zoom if you can't come in person, too.

When: Saturday, Sept 4, 7-9 pm (come at 6 pm to picnic and hang with friends)
Where: Outside at the Capital City Grange on Rte 12 in Berlin
Who: Atlantic Crossing and the Turning Stile perform to benefit the Montpelier Contra Dance and the Capital City Grange Hall
What to bring: Chairs/blankets, picnic food, masks to go indoors, money to pay the band and donate to the Grange

Atlantic Crossing, featuring Peter MacFarlane, Viveka Fox and Rick Klein, has been "rocking the contra dance halls of New England and beyond" and also "entrancing concert audiences" for well over two decades. The Turning Stile, featuring Joanne Garton and Aaron Marcus are also familiar faces and marvelous musicians on the contra dance stages of New England and beyond. Suggested admission to pay these great bands is $12 adult, $5 low income, and $20 supporter. Additional fundraiser donations can be made online (www.capitalcitygrange.org/donate) or with cash or check at the event. Come early to picnic and socialize!
