I'm knocking on wood as I say this, but I hear that we're going to have a beautiful day on Saturday! Halleluiah! Let's celebrate the coming of fall, the 101st anniversary of women's suffrage, and how fortunate we are to live together in this wonderful community!

Here's one last reminder about the plans:
10:00- 2:00, and 3:00-5:00 WHS OPEN HOUSE – Stop by to see our newest exhibits, AND to purchase tickets for our fall fundraiser: a sumptuous dinner catered by NEK Catering, and a concert by Patti Casey and Tom MacKenzie!
2:00 "WORCESTER VOICES" at the Worcester Village Cemetery – Come enjoy the performance, as we take you back in time, to September 11, 1920, to see seven Worcester women taking the Freeman's Oath, preparing to exercise their new, long-awaited and hard-won right to vote! (You may even learn some new facts, as they express interesting opinions that remind us of the historical context of this noteworthy occasion). (PLEASE NOTE: You're welcome to BRING YOUR OWN CHAIR!)
3:00-10:00 FESTIVITIES at THE LANDING! (66 Elmore Rd. – just north of the village, across from the cemetery)
- LIVE MUSIC all afternoon and evening: Jaded Ravins, Broken String, and more great local bands!
- PLENTY OF FOOD from the GRUB WAGON
6:30 CONCERT with Linda Radtke: "From the Parlor to the Polling Place" –outside WHS building (Please join us – it's free!)
In the evening – ICE CREAM cart at Ladd Field
8:20 FIREWORKS!!! YES!!!

All our gatherings will be outdoors, as we continue to "watch the numbers" and to follow state guidelines.
We ask you to follow the CDC protocols when in a large group.
LET'S TAKE CARE OF EACH OTHER, AND HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY!
