Enjoy a weekend of fun and activity at the Greater Barton Arts Center (396 Main Street in Barton). There will be food, music, kids art activities, a "pop-up" gallery and a Saturday plein air "Paint Out" competition in Barton.

The Plein Air event will feature artists painting all over Barton Village, Crystal Lake, the falls, and environs. Registration ($20) from 9 to 10 AM at the Center. "Wet Hang" at 4:00 PM where canvases will be judged for cash prizes ($100, $75, $50 and gift baskets for children under 13), a reception 5 to 6 to follow.

Tours of the Art Center, viewing of the show "Ecosystems Services: Through Artists' Eyes" lots to see and do.
