Yoga and Meditation Mini-Retreats for Absolute Beginners

Curious about yoga and meditation but never felt comfortable enough to take a class? Perhaps you tried one or two classes but felt lost? This event was created specifically for you! All you need is a willingness to try something new.

Love University is collaborating with Stowe Stretching Studio to bring something new to the community; a welcoming and communal space where you, as a beginner, are met exactly where you are. Allow Maggie Mae, April and Garin to be your guides as we delve into the basics of these ancient practices, making them accessible and fun. The goal is to help you find what works and feels healthy for you. You'll leave with an understanding of why these practices, when rooted in lightness and joy, will change everything you believe about yourself and the world around you.

When and Where
September 17th - 19th and October 15th - 17th
Friday 4-8PM, Saturday 10-4PM, Sunday 10-2PM
Murphy's Barn, 76 Maple Street, Waterbury Center, Vermont

Wait, There's Food!?
Mad Taco, Woodstock Farmers' Market, Hunger Mountain Co-op and more! We'll provide snacks throughout, dinner on Friday, brunch and lunch on Saturday, and brunch on Sunday. The meals will be heavily vegan, gluten free and delicious (and of course there will be endless coffee and tea :)).

Guess what?? A grant from Waterbury Winterfest helped us pay for the yummy food! Thank you!

What to Expect
We'll share in an open dialogue format about the principles and philosophies of yoga and meditation, leaving plenty of room for discussion and questions. We'll move between practicing various entry level yoga postures and different styles of meditation. The group will be small enough that each participant will receive individual attention, ensuring proper alignment for each individual's body. Expect a flow between food, movement, stillness and dialogue.

What's the Cost
Recommended donation tiers: $260 $360 $460. Whatever you can afford is appreciated and used to keep these retreats going. We aim for low ratios, beautiful settings, yummy food and take homes that keep you keepin' on. If the lowest tier feels uncomfortable for you right now, please pay what you can. No questions asked. If you are comfortably able to pay more than the top tier, know you are helping to provide an opportunity for those who otherwise could not.
