The Dummerston Planning Commission is updating the town's Zoning Bylaw which regulates Home Businesses, and is hosting a public forum to discuss the changes with Dummerston residents and home business owners. If you work for yourself, from your home, you probably have a home business. Currently any home business requires Development Review Board review and a Conditional Use Permit. The updates would allow some smaller home businesses to operate without DRB review, and would define some that would not need a permit. They also would allow for some larger home businesses than are currently allowed with DRB review.

The Forum will be held at the Dummerston Congregational Church, 1535 Middle Road in the meeting room on the lower level at 7:00pm on Tuesday, September 7. Draft amendments may be viewed on the town website at http://dummerston.org/boards/planning.asp. Guidance regarding public health in place at the time of the meeting will be followed.
