Just letting everyone know about the Historical Society's "Worcester Voices" on Saturday, September 4th at 2:00 PM at the Worcester Village Cemetery. This will be a reenactment of 7 of the 41 Worcester women that took the Freeman's Oath in 1920 and in celebration of Women's Suffrage. We could not present this program last year (100th anniversary) due to COVID-19. The list of women participating are Emme Erdossy portraying Mary Maxham; Nancy Gore portraying Ivie Holmes King; Norma Lang; portraying Emma Cane; Heather Lang Pagel portraying Carmen Cane; Marla Edson portraying Gladys Doty; Hollie Friot portraying Clara Belle Howieson Letalien; Priscilla White portraying her great grandmother Elsie D. Fisher; Dell Waterhouse portraying town clerk Jessie Putnam and David Book as narrator. Thanks to Audrey Richardson and yours truly for researching the ladies and a very special thank you to David Book for writing all the scripts. This is a must see program. If questions, you can get in touch with me (Judy Knapp 223-8635 or email) and/or Audrey Richardson.
