Join us for an exclusive tasting of wine made exclusively by women of color.
These private tastings, hosted by W. Collective, feature 3 wines by each winemaker, presented by wine experts from couch + cork, and explore myriad social justice issues within the world of wine. Women are rare in the industry, mostly relegated to being "vinfluencers" but women of color owning vineyards and making wine? They're nearly unheard of. Learn how these winemakers and others in the industry are making bold moves, supporting and empowering other women and doing the work that's long overdue.
8/28: McBride Sisters. Winemakers: Robin + Andréa McBride.
What happens when half sisters, who have no knowledge of each other, meet after the death of their shared father and discover they were both raised in wine country? Really good wine, women's empowerment and a whole lot more. Some of McBride Sisters wine portfolio is available in Vermont, and it's all thanks to one of the area's bad-ass women business owners.
Price per tasting: $45
Tastings last about 90 minutes and include complimentary samples of three wines per event plus you can add a cheese/charcuterie board The Graze Board & Co.
Tickets available for purchase online https://www.wcollective.co/events or in person at W. Collective 332 Main St. Bennington, VT 05201
