Mark your calendar for September 4th. The Elmore Community Trust, along with many other businesses and organizations around Elmore, have a full day of community activities planned for Labor Day this year. This day of activities will also kick-off our big push to wrap up the fundraising campaign for the first phase of the Elmore Store Project. Please check out our website for the latest on the day's events, but for now, here is a quick rundown of what will be going on:
Elmore 5k Run: The Town of Elmore will be hosting the second annual 5k run/walk. The run starts at 9:00 at the Elmore Fire Station with parking available at the state park. To sign up, visit elmorevt.org/5k
1st Annual Elmore Community Trust Gravel Grinder: The Elmore Community Trust will be hosting a 31 mile gravel grind bike ride starting at 10:00 at the Elmore Methodist Church parking lot. All proceeds will support the Elmore Community Trust and our effort to preserve the Elmore Store. Visit elmorecommunitytrust.org/gravel-grinder for more information or to register.
Elmore Block Party BBQ: The traditional Elmore Block Party continues this year with pizza from Firetower Pizza and a BBQ lunch from Black Diamond BBQ. Stop by the store starting around 3:00 for a delicious lunch and some good times.
"The High Breaks" Concert on the Elmore Store deck: At 3:00, Lost Nation Brewery and Chuck's Bikes present Burlington surf rock band, The High Breaks. Join us on the lawn behind the store, or dock your vessel in the lake behind the store for a waterfront show.
"The Eames Brothers" Concert on the Elmore Store deck: Starting at 6:00, local favorites, The Eames Brothers will be performing a sunset concert.
Fireworks!!: Fireworks are back. Don't miss the show. Starting at dusk.
