We strive to broaden awareness to garner community support and to empower T1Ders (people with type 1 diabetes) of all ages to live their lives to the fullest despite the fears, difficulties and costs this nasty disease inflicts upon them. To everyone battling T1D:
WE PLAY FOR YOU!
T1D DOESN'T HAVE TO KEEP YOU ON THE SIDELINES!
LET'S PLAY TO WIN!
T1D (Type 1 diabetes) is often misunderstood by the general public. It is NOT a chronic condition that can be reduced or made to go away. It is not preventable nor currently curable. T1D is a lethal, life-altering autoimmune disease that requires the patient and caregiver to undertake a rigorous 24/7/365 regimen of glucose monitoring and administration of an insulin drug via mechanical pump or multiple daily injections. T1D fatigues, exhausts, and alienates; it depresses, maims and kills.
