Sundog Poetry AMP Picnic: Art, Music, and Poetry with Alison Prine, Evie Lovett, and Yasi Zeichner.

Join the Sundog Poetry Center in Richmond on Sunday, September 12th from 4pm-6pm for an afternoon of art, music, and poetry. This is a free event, with donations encouraged. The Sundog Poetry Center has hosted a handful of these invigorating interdisciplinary events which celebrate artists from various disciplines, and we are pleased to highlight Alison Prine, Burlington-based poet and author of Steel, as well as the multi-disciplinary visual artist Evie Lovett from the Brattleboro area, and Yasi Zeichner, a fiddler from central Vermont.

Alison Prine's debut collection of poems, Steel (Cider Press Review, 2016) was named a finalist for the 2017 Vermont Book Award. Her poems have appeared or are forthcoming in Ploughshares, The Virginia Quarterly Review, Five Points, Harvard Review and Prairie Schooner among others. She lives and works in Burlington, Vermont. Visit her at alisonprine.com.

The event will take place at the Richmond Volunteer's Green, in the BandShell near the bridge, on Sunday, September 12th at 4pm, with a rain date of September 19th. Let's keep our fingers crossed for beautiful weather! On the day of the event, feel free to bring blankets, folding chairs, snacks, non-alcoholic beverages, and a creative spirit; there will likely be an interactive art activity with Evie Lovett.

We look forward to seeing you!
