NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Family Support Group meetings are monthly 90-minute support groups of family and friends of individuals living with a mental illness where they can talk frankly about their challenges and help one another through their learned wisdom and coping strategies. Participants are encouraged to share actively in the work of the group. The support group meetings offer a safe and confidentaial place to give family members and friends the support they need. With their shared experiences, family members can better understand and support their loved ones living with mental illness while maintaining their own well being. All meetings are facilitated by trained NAMI family members.
First Meeting: September 8, 2021, 6:30 pm at The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Bennington, 108 School Street, Bennington, Vermont 05201.
Vaccination and masks required to enter meeting.
