Unadilla Theatre presents Waiting for Godot Aug. 12-15 and 19-21 at 7:30 pm and Sunday, Aug. 22 at 2 pm. All shows take place in the Festival Theater at 501 Blachly Rd, Marshfield, VT, 05658.

Despair becomes repartee in Samuel Beckett's great play in which the act of waiting itself is caught like a buzzing bluebottle fly in a glass jar and dissected: the uncertainty, the boredom, the dawdling, the attempts to fill up the time that weighs so heavily and passes so slowly and yet reduces 50 years to a blink. Directed by Jeanne Beckwith (Roxbury), the production features Tom Murphy (Waterbury Center), Clarke Jordan (East Montpelier), Matthew Grant Winston (Williamstown), and Donny Osman (Plainfield), with Case Phinney (Montpelier) as The Boy.
