Are you excited about all things local, home grown, homemade & hand-crafted? Bring your homestead surplus for a Community Harvest Swap with your neighbors! Toni Kessler from West River Seeds will also be leading a fall Seed-Saving Workshop following the swap. This is a free event, but donations are welcome to support the work of Neighborhood Roots Food Collective. It should be a really fun day, we hope that you will join us.

Trade your extra fruits & veggies, herbs, preserves, baked goods & crafts with your neighbors, and leave with plenty of new and exciting things to try & enjoy. Only have a few things to share, or nothing at all? That's OK! Creative & non-material barters & freebies are always a possibility here.
Items for swapping might include things like (but not limited to):
-Fruits & veggies from your gardens
-Preserves and ferments (sauerkraut, jam, etc.)
-Baked goods
-Maple syrup or honey
-Homemade cheese, yogurt, butter
-Dried herbs, tinctures, or salves
-Flowers, fibers, seeds, & crafts would all be fun swapping items
*Seed-Saving Workshop*
Toni Kessler from West River Seeds will be demonstrating threshing and winnowing of dry vegetable, herb, and flower seeds. She will also show how to save seed from tomatoes, zucchini, cucumbers and other fruits.
